Murasame or "village rain" when translated to English is a perfect description for these special jeans from Samurai. At first it simply looks like a beautiful, extra slubby pair of jeans (and they are) but when you look deeper you can see that denim has a vertical slub pattern that reminds of a sudden rain shower and storm clouds, it's really something special. This is done by artisans with a mix of a black-ish indigo dye and irregular slub pattern that allow these to have a depth of movement that we haven't really seen in the shop before. Made from a 17oz extra slub denim, these have a beautiful hand feel and should fade to something extremely special with wear.
These are in Samurai's 3000VXII cut, which is a roomy, World War II era, relaxed straight cut. A mid to high rise, generous top block and a piped leg. It's a fantastic straight leg cut that is plenty roomy without being overly baggy.
